Livestrong on Tuesday May 13th

Lucas Walters (the one on the right with the "fro"), a Medina cross country team member is holding a Livestrong run Tuesday night on May 13th to raise money and awareness for testicular cancer. Lucas came back from testicular cancer last year to race on the Medina boys varsity cross country team which won states and went on to team nationals.

Details on the run are as follows:

Testicular cancer awareness
Tuesday night, May 13
2 hour trail run starting at 6:00 PM, followed by a casual cook out
Hinckley Reservation spillway parking lot
Donations accepted to support testicular cancer research
Lucas Walters...he's in charge of this

SERCs runners absolutely rocked this race! Barb Broad placed 2nd over all, Libby Wolf won her age group, Mike Ryan took 3rd overall male, Andy Richner, Phil Sipos, and Greg Klipan swept their age group, and Joe Vishey placed first in age group. Awesome job everyone!

USATF 100km Championships

Mark Godale and Connie Gardner traveled to Wisconsin this past weekend to compete in the 100km national championships. Mark came away with 4th in 7:36:31 and Connie placed second female in 8:52:07.

Frank has been talking with the PD columnist who has been highlighting his training leading up to the Cleveland marathon. I know Sunday many of us will be in Boston or at the Pancake Run but if anyone is at the bagel shop be aware there may be some new faces in the crowd, please be sure to welcome them and make sure they know the course for whatever loop they are going to do.
